Being a member of the American Business Women Association (ABWA) has been incredibly rewarding. I stay in ABWA because it offers a strong network of professional women who support one another in achieving career goals and personal growth. The organization provides invaluable opportunities for leadership development, mentorship, and continuous learning. The sense of community and collaboration within ABWA has helped me expand my network, gain new skills, and stay current on business trends. Most importantly, ABWA empowers me to uplift and inspire other women in their professional journeys.

Oxon Hill Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association offer useful networking, experience sharing, and educational training. I am able to regularly participate in events, forums, and social channels to maximise opportunities. It’s a wonderful experience to mingle with mentors, learn from experienced women, and explore the knowledge of other business women.

I have been a member of ABWA for more than 30 years. I joined at a time when I was still growing my career and was beginning to pursue management positions. The professional development offered, the opportunity to practice leadership skills, and the chance to speak to diverse groups have served me well through all phases of my career. ABWA has something to offer women entering the workforce, those in mid-career, and those in senior management positions. I want to continue to acquire current information and learn innovative technology. ABWA gives me all that I need!

The reason I keep my membership in ABWA is for personal growth. I have learned how to speak to an audience loudly without yelling. It also allows members or people around me to see me as an individual, providing positive feedback. Thus, my membership has allowed me to establish pathways to communicate with professional people who helped me with medical issues. Needless to say, Oxon Hill Charter Chapter sisters were there for me during the passing of my husband. They provided care to my family as I traveled for my husband’s funeral. I can’t speak of any greater sisterhood.
